ENPASAR: The omed-omedan (mass kissing) tradition, held a day after the Nyepi religious holiday by the Banjar Kaja community at the Sesetan customary village in Denpasar, will be organized this year as the Sesetan Heritage Omed-omedan Festival 2009.
Festival chief organizer Ketut Astawa said Thursday the annual mass kissing tradition, claimed to be the only one in the world, would be held with more attractions, including a traditional Balinese food festival.
This year, Nyepi or the Day of Silence, which also marks the Saka New Year, falls on March 26.
