JAKARTA: In the name of music, nothing is too hard for VJ Marissa.
Marissa featured as a model in the first video clip by Ridho Irama, son of the dangdut king Rhoma Irama.
Now Marissa is preparing a second video clip titled “Kerinduan” (longing) for the same singer and says she feels more comfortable working with Ridho.
“It was a bit so-so with the first video clip, but the second video clip is much better,” Marissa was quoted as saying by kapanlagi.com.
Marissa said she considered many other options before receiving the offer to become the model in Ridho’s music videos.
“When they offered me the role, I needed to hear the song first and fortunately I liked it. I thought it would be a different experience for me to work with music and video. I also wanted to know more about dangdut, such as the difference between dangdut and pop dangdut,” said the 23-year-old presenter.
Marissa gained her popularity when taking part in the 2007 MTV VJ Hunt. Although she failed to win the contest, it launched her career as an MTV Guest VJ for several MTV programs before becoming the resident MTV VJ. –JP
