JAKARTA: Luna Maya, the actress, presenter and model who is at the center of Indonesia’s current sex video scandal, has released a single Tak Bisa Bersamamu (Can’t Be with You).
Royal Prima Musikindo (RPM) released the single to radio stations last week, said manager Isra Ruddin.
RPM is currently only able to promote the single on the radio, due to Luna’s alleged involvement in the scandal, Isra said as quoted by tempointeraktif.com. “Live performances and television, we’re unable [to do] yet because of the case,” he said as quoted by okezone.com.
Police previously named Luna a suspect in a criminal investigation in connection with sex videos allegedly featuring the star and her boyfriend, former Peterpan frontman Nazriel “Ariel” Ilham. Luna was reportedly arrested Wednesday night for being “uncooperative” with police investigators.
Work on the single started three months ago, well before the before the sex video scandal, as part of RPM’s deal to produce an album for Luna, Isra said. — JP
