a href="http://">JP/Arief SuhardimanJAKARTA: Dangdut singer cum karaoke joint businesswoman Inul Daratista said she could not stop doing the ngebor (drilling) dance despite having a successful business. She said she even taught her child, Yusuf Ivander Damares how to do her “drilling dance”.

“People have hobbies that are ingrained in them. Including me. Even though I’m a businesswoman and have a family, before I dived into the business I was already singing,” she said.

Inul has been lying low since mid 2003, when she shot to fame with her so-called controversial “drilling dance”, which even angered Rhoma Irama, the grand old man of Indonesia’s own brand of Arab and Indian influenced folk music.

She said that she lived to sing. “Money can be found elsewhere but satisfaction is hard to find. My world is showbiz, particularly singing. So I dream that there is someone who misses Inul all the time,” she said as quoted by inilah.com on Thursday. — JP
