ost readers of The Jakarta Post defend the Ahmadi people’s claim that they are Muslim. I have to say that Ahmadiyah teachings go against Islamic principles that are followed by the majority of people in Indonesia.
They want Indonesian people to accept Ahmadiyah as part of Islam. How come? We can see in Christianity there are at least two different religions: Catholic and Protestant.
They have different principles. Therefore, they are different religions. Learning from this case, the Ahmadis should declare their faith as a new religion because they are different from Islam.
