AKARTA: Five robbers broke into a Bank Danamon branch office in Jl. Latumenten Raya, West Jakarta, on Thursday, stealing Rp 47 million (US$5,499) in cash.
The robbers pulled up to the bank on motorcycles at 11 p.m.
Still wearing their helmets, the robbers tied up and gagged the bank’s employees — Nuraini, Rizal, Musa, Dian Saputra and Ruli — using duct tape.
The robbers then stole cash stored in the teller station.
“We are now questioning the victims and still working on the report,” Tambora Police detective unit chief Adj. Comr. Katma said as quoted by kompas.com. — JP
