JAKARTA: Singer Syahrini announced that her relationship with Malaysian boyfriend Raja Mohammad Syazni, popularly known as Bubu, had ended.

The singer said it was a mutual decision to end the relationship because Bubu could not handle the media pressure since they began dating in early 2011.

“In the end, we decided that it would be best for us to separate,” said the singer, who popularized the hit single “Sesuatu” (Something), as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Syahrini said she had warned Bubu about the risk of intense media scrutiny when they began dating. “I am used to reading strange stories about myself in the news, but [Bubu] and his family are not.”

She added that she was still in touch with Bubu and his family and that everything was good between them.
