                                    he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detained Riau Governor Abdul Wahid along with multiple high-ranking provincial officials during a raid on Monday night.
A total of 10 people were arrested in the operation, including Muhammad Arief Setiawan, head of the Riau Public Works and Housing Agency (PUPR), and the agency’s secretary, Ferry Yunanda.
Investigators also confiscated cash in both rupiah and foreign currencies, though the exact amount has not been disclosed.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the detainees, including Governor Abdul, had been flown in stages to the agency’s headquarters in South Jakarta for questioning.
“Those who have arrived are currently undergoing intensive questioning with our investigators,” he said on Tuesday, as quoted by Kompas.com.
The KPK has not yet released an official statement about the case. However, officials said the raid was related to a construction project managed by the Riau PUPR.
