akarta: The Fez Rebels registered their maiden victory, while Taman Kemayoran (TKCC) created an upset in matches played over the weekend in the Apple Coal JCA League 2012-13.

At Cibubur, the Rebels posted a convincing seven-wicket victory over Emerio.

First up to bat, Emerio were bowled out for a paltry 128 runs in 27 overs, with Anant Bhake making 38. Amitava Misra was the most successful bowler, claiming three wickets. The Rebels reached victory in 21 overs, with Gordon Jones remaining unbeaten on 73.

At the Gandhi ground, the TKCC pulled off a remarkable four-wicket victory over the fancied United Force. Prabhu Kaliraj blasted a match-winning, season-high score of 147 runs, and was supported well by Swaroop Chavan (58). Batting first, United made 238 runs with contributions from Mukesh Khetan (68), Lalit Balchandani (32) and a late order cameo of 31 runs from Syed Hameed. Sathesh Kumar took four wickets, while Swaroop took three.

In their chase, TKCC lost two quick wickets and Kaliraj and Swaroop started the repair work to take their team to 70/2 in 12 overs. The pair added another 102 runs in the next 12 overs without losing a wicket. United tried to claw themselves back into the game by taking four quick wickets, but it was too little too late.

The TKCC clinched victory in the 31st over, with Rajeev Kumar taking four wickets. WISCI leads Group A, followed by Indorama and GMIS CC. In Group B, Ceylon is at the top of the table followed by the TKCC and the Senayan Lions.
