This means all legislative candidates that embrace religions or beliefs other than Islam, no matter how knowledgeable and sagacious and honest they are, are barred from competing.
Being able to perfectly understand and fluently recite passages from the Koran has never been, and will never be, a guarantee for impeccable and praiseworthy performance. It won't guarantee a free ticket to heaven, either.
