France-based indie music band Limousine will showcase their electropop-jazz on May 21 at Salihara's Teater Atap in South Jakarta. Through their minimalist sounds, Laurent Bardainne (keyboards and sax), David Aknin (drums), Maxime Delpierre (guitar) and Frédéric Soulard (keyboards) have create calm and relaxing songs without lyrics. 'Lila', one of the tracks off their first album, was chosen by the French filmmaker Broadcast Club as the soundtrack for a short film of the same title, according to Salihara. Dance
Frank Michelleti will direct his dance team, Kubilai Khan Investigations, in presenting 'Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright' at the Gedung Kesenian Jakarta on May 30. Six dancers will be accompanied by diverse music compositions in the polyphonic and physical performance. 'Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright' examines urban life in a period in which change is permanent and people live with perpetual glimpses. For reservations call 0213441892 or text 085715911169. Exhibition
The Selasar Sunaryo Art Space, in collaboration with Roma Arts, is presenting an exhibition titled 'Dear Curator Curate Me' at the Ruang Sayap art center in Bandung, West Java, from May 19 to June 8. The exhibition, proposed by Filipino artist Kristoffer Ardena, showcases 15 videos by Ardena that were curated by Chabib Duta Hapsoro and Rizki Lazuardi. The event will open on May 19 with a discussion slated to be attended by the artist and the curator at 3 p.m.
