Eddy Kusnadi ups stake in EMTK

ublic media company PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi (EMTK)announced on Friday that its president commissioner, Eddy Kusnadi Sariaatmadja,had increased his stake in the firm.

EMTK said in a statement, published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), that Eddy, one of Indonesia'€™s richest people, had purchased an additional 28.45 million shares, worth Rp 155.04 billion (US$12.71 million), on Dec. 27 at a price of Rp 5,450 per share. Following the purchase, Eddy now holds a total 961.2 million shares, representing 17 percent of EMTK'€™s enlarged shares, up from his previous 16.5 percent stake.

EMTK is the parent company of two private television stations, SCTV and Indosiar. Meanwhile, Eddy is currently listed as the 36th richest person in Indonesia, according to Forbes magazine.
