Actress and film director Lola Amaria says she is working with the Australian government to make a drama titled Inerie, Beautiful Mama to help save lives of mothers and babies in remote rural areas of Indonesia.

Set in beautiful Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), the film tells the story of Bello, who struggles to educate the people in his community, including his twin sister, Bella, to seek help from local community health centers (Puskesmas) and hospitals when she is pregnant.

'€œWe hope the core message of the movie will encourage everyone to participate in reducing the number of maternal deaths in Indonesia,'€ Lola said in a statement.
