AKARTA: Jerinx, the drummer of Bali-based punk-rock band SID, says that his tattoos play an important role in making him a better man.

He said that he used to get tattoos just to be different. Now he feels that ink on skin should do more than just depict an image on his body.

'€œWhen I was younger, tattoos were like my identity, Jerinx said. '€œNow, they are more like a reminder for me to be a better human being,'€ Jerinx said in Bali, as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Jerinx said that he had one specific tattoo that was especially meaningful. '€œIt'€™s my diamond tattoo. The tattoo reminds me that I have a heart that as strong and pure as a diamond.'€
