Dozens of people blocked a group of Ahmadis from performing Friday prayers at their own An Nur Mosque in Bukit Duri Tanjakan, Tebet, South Jakarta, on Friday. Stared at by their tormentors, the Ahmadis were forced to fulfill their religious obligations on the street in front of the mosque.
Aryudi Prastowo, one of the congregation members, said that around 25 people came to the mosque at 10 a.m. to confront the worshippers. Around five of them wore Islam Defenders Front (FPI) uniforms while the rest were an ustad (teacher) named Syakir and his followers.
Your comments:
Why does the police chief still have a job? If the Ahmadiyah were doing something illegal then he should arrest them. If not, then why does he allow other people to harass and prevent them from going where they want?

They should investigate Shakir. Aggression of this magnitude seems fueled by money or radical ideology. It's a shame the Ahmadi weren't allowed to do as they wish.
Until you ban radical groups, they will always push for radicalism. Cut their finance as an organization and restrict the financial benefits of their members.

This is a serious challenge for a pluralistic society like Indonesia. Such incidents have for a long timeoccurred, with same issue between minority and majority groups.
I wonder why the basic beliefs of every person are always disputed by another individual or group.

He who pronounces kalima ' La Ilaha Illaallahu Muhammadur Rasulullah ' is a Muslim. Ahmadis also pronounce the Kalima with great love and affection. The five pillars of Islam are: kalima, salat, zakat, fasting and Haj.
Ahmadis follow these five fundamental pillars with honesty and sincerity.
Are they heretics despite respecting the pillars of Islam?

Shakir and his mob should be jailed for this. Imagine if in the UK, or any other civilized country, people stopped Muslims from entering a mosque.
People have a right to pray to whichever God they believe in, without interference.
