ard-line groups planning a mass rally to demand the immediate incarceration of incumbent Jakarta governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama for blasphemy may see drizzle or rain dampen the rally in Central Jakarta on Friday as the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency has forecast possible rain.
"We forecast cloud or drizzle in the morning. Likewise, in the afternoon, we expect it to be overcast or rainy," the agency spokesperson, Hary T Djatmiko, was quoted by Antara news agency as saying on Thursday.
According to Hary, similar weather would continue until evening.
The temperature would range between 23 and 33 degrees Celsius.
Cloud or drizzle is also expected to occur in the morning in North Jakarta, the Thousand Islands regency, Bogor and Bekasi.
Medium to heavy rain is forecast to fall in South Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi in the afternoon, while drizzle will fall in East Jakarta, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands regency in the afternoon. (dmr)
