he antigraft commission detained Andi “Choel” Zulkarnaen Mallarangeng, the younger brother of Democratic Party politician and graft convict Andi Alifian Mallarangeng, after a questioning session on Monday for alleged graft.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named Choel a suspect in December 2015 for his alleged involvement in a graft case centering on the construction of a sports center in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, which has landed his brother Andi in prison. The KPK accused Choel of misusing his authority, enriching himself and others, as well as corporate enrichment in the project worth Rp 2.5 trillion (US$187.7 million).

Andi, who served as spokesman for the Youth and Sports Ministry under former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, was sentenced in 2014 to four years in prison for graft in the project.
