n accident involving ten vehicles on the Cipularang toll road connecting Bandung to Jakarta left four dead and 28 others injured on Thursday night.

Over the years, the Cipularang toll road has gained a notorious reputation for accidents, many of which have resulted in fatalities.

West Java Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Yusri Yunus explained that the accident on Thursday night was caused by a trailer truck driven by Sutrisno, 36, that suddenly lost control and crashed into several vehicles in the middle lane.

"The truck hit two minibuses and two cars in front of it. Afterwards, it shifted to the left lane, hitting four more cars and a bus," said Yusri as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com. (dea)
