Just a brief comment from the President’s daughter can spark a commotion on social media.

This is what happened when netizens flocked to @ayanggkahiyang, the instagram account of Kahiyang Ayu, the daughter of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, following a post from her that read: “I said YES.”

Speculation exploded that Kahiyang’s statement was related to her reported engagement.

There is also a photograph of her wearing a ring on her finger.

I said YES..

Kompas.com reports that Kahiyang became engaged to her boyfriend Bobby Nasution in a "modest" ceremony held at Jokowi's official residence in Bogor, West Java.

Kahiyang's post attracted 19,896 likes and 500 comments as of Tuesday afternoon.

@laborarsln commented: "Congratulations, sister, for having a Bataknese," referring to Bobby's ethnicity.

@kariaman.zega90 wrote: "Great, we are waiting for the invitation", while @benzemajamal commented: "I will help the reception even if it is only washing the dishes", adding the hashtag #semogadidengar, which can be loosely translated as "hopefully this can be heard." (dic)
