s many as 50 pedicab drivers are being lined up to transport the wedding guests of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s daughter, Kahiyang Ayu, and Bobby Afif Nasution in Surakarta, Central Java, on Wednesday.
“We had blood tests and other physical tests done by doctors at the [Surakarta] Transportation Agency,” said one of the drivers, Sudaryono, 50.
The pedicabs will transport guests from Sumber and Banyuanyar squares to the venue at the Graha Saba building.
“We are proud and happy to take part in the wedding,” Sudaryono said.
Jokowi’s family are some of their most loyal passengers.
Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said all the pedicabs have been plastered with the Pesona Indonesia tourism brand.
