uteri Indonesia Environment Ambassador, Kevin Liliana, has won the 2017 Miss International pageant.
During the pageant, Kevin, who reportedly got her boy-sounding name because her parents hoped to conceive a boy, managed to beat 65 other contestants in the Grand Final, held at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan on Tuesday.
Coming in second and third places were Venezuela’s Diana Macarena and Chanelle Wilhelmina from Curacao.
Kevin took the crown from Miss International 2016 Kylie Ferzosa from the Philippines.
During the quarantine, Kevin was favored by many people to win the Miss International crown. Prior to this, the Bandung-born pageant queen came second in the Miss Panasonic Award and received the Missosology People’s Choice Award.
“This is what I have achieved and I dedicate it to Indonesia. Thank you Indonesia, we did it,” Kevin said as quoted by kompas.com.
