Here are some foods that you should not reheat if you want to stay healthy, especially during a whole month of fasting.
Saving is smart, including when it comes to eating. Reheating your food, for instance, can be a way to save money.
During Ramadhan, you may find this habit of reheating food being used a lot, especially for sahur (pre-dawn meals). Maybe you're even doing it yourself. But did you know that some foods are not meant to be served this way?
Here are some foods that you should not reheat if you want to stay healthy, especially during a whole month of fasting.
Potatoes
If you let potatoes stand in room temperature for long, they become dangerous and toxic. The best way to treat potatoes is to refrigerate them as soon as possible to avoid problems like botulism, which is caused by a rare bacteria.
Mushrooms
It's a good idea to cook only as many mushrooms as you can eat in one day. It's a well-known fact that mushrooms shouldn't be eaten any more than a day after cooking, as their complex protein composition can deteriorate as soon as you cut them up, and it's not good for your belly.

Spinach
Spinach, as well as other vegetables like celery and beetroot, contains a lot of iron and nitrates. Reheating nitrates can be dangerous and turn toxic and that's why you should eat your vegetables fresh
Egg
The easiest way to create a chaotic situation in your digestive system is by eating reheated egg. Whether boiled or scrambled, the protein in eggs should not be exposed to heat over and over again.
Chicken
This may come as a surprise to some people but cooking chicken is a big deal. Chicken has long been known to be contaminated with salmonella, and so reheating it can be very dangerous. Cooking chicken should be done precisely and the best way to consume your leftover chicken is by serving it with cold salad or in a sandwich.
Rice
Since rice is the most popular food in Indonesia, everyone should know about this one. When you leave rice uncovered at room temperature, spores of bacteria will multiply and reheating will not get rid of them. Eating reheated rice may cause food poisoning, vomiting and diarrhea. It's a good idea to be careful with this one because getting sick at Ramadhan is not fun. (kes)
