andung in West Java is set to launch a public service monitoring app named JAGA as part of a pilot program implemented by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
“Bandung will be a model city for the KPK’s project to launch the JAGA application,” said Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil on Tuesday as quoted by Antara news agency.
JAGA will be available for public access with full transparency, said Ridwan, and the application will assist the city administration and residents in acquiring information about public services in terms of city budget and facilities, while serving as a platform for the public to make suggestions and criticisms – all monitored directly by the KPK.

"All schools, hospitals, community health centers and other forms of public service must be informed about this application, because their activities and budget will be monitored and accessible to the public," said Ridwan.
In addition to Bandung, three other cities will participate in the pilot project, namely Jakarta, Semarang, Central Java, and Surabaya, East Java.
“The application is set to launch on Dec. 5 and will be inaugurated by President [Joko "Jokowi" Widodo]. All the data is ready, Bandung city administration just needs to upload the information.” (mra/kes)
