Those craving for cheesy meals may want to try raclette, a semi-hard cow’s milk cheese that comes in wheel-shaped blocks.
According to The Straits Times, the cheese is produced in the Alpine regions of France and Switzerland and is known for its nutty flavor and gooey texture when melted.
Now, cheese lovers do not need to go to Europe to sample it. The Jakarta Post has spotted two eateries that are serving raclette cheese in Jakarta.
Willie Brothers Steak & Cheese
Willie Brothers Cheese and Steak owner Alfeus Liman told The Post that raclette cheese is usually served with pickles or potatoes. However, the restaurant chose to serve it in a different way by combining it with steak.
Here, the steak is carefully seasoned to match raclette cheese’s intense flavor, making the restaurant worth a visit.

In addition to raclette cheese, the restaurant also serves steak with other types of cheeses, such as blue cheese and mozzarella, with priced starting from Rp 129,000 (US$9.5)

Those living in South Jakarta may want to check out Chamber Food & Spirits restaurant in Pacific Place shopping mall. Here, foodies can be more adventurous as the eatery allows its patrons to mix raclette cheese with any type of food.
By paying an extra Rp 100,000, customers can add raclette cheese to their orders, such as pasta and steak.
