Fendi, Rimowa team up to release new suitcase line

uxury brand Fendi has announced that it has renewed its partnership with luggage company Rimowa to release a joint line of suitcases.
The suitcases will be available in blue and red as well as black and yellow styles that were first released late last year. They are protected by top-of-the-line aluminum and feature a multi-wheel system, two TSA-approved locks and a dedicated cover-up.
“The partnership showcases Rimowa’s iconic style, unique craftsmanship and signature high-quality design coupled with luxurious Fendi details, featured in Cuoio Romano leather,” Fendi wrote in a statement.
“The black, red or blue leather handles on the top and side, along with the web belt that runs across the case ton sur ton with the handles, featuring the 'FF' logo, give the case a characteristic Fendi touch,” the brand stated, referring to the new suitcases, which will also be available as carry-ons.
Users will also be able to personalize their pieces with stickers and a customizable name tag in Cuoio Romano leather, as well as a new “paper plane-like charm [and] airbag made entirely in Cuoio Romano leather, with Fendi's iconic Bag Bugs eyes feature".

The line will be available in select Fendi and Rimowa stores as well as worldwide on fendi.com beginning this summer. (sul/mut)
