teak 21 restaurant, located on the third floor of PlazaSemanggi shopping mall in South Jakarta, caught fire at around 3:30 p.m. onMonday.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
Workers and mall patrons who saw smoke emitting from the restaurant fled in panic while the pungent smell of burned rubber emanated to other floors.
Mall security guards extinguished the fire in one hour.
South Jakarta's Setiabudi Police Office chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Tri said that after electricity and LPG technicians examined the impact of the fire, the mall was safe enough to reopen.
'It is safe for other tenants to open their stores again,' he said.
