rosecutors requested a life sentence on Tuesday for Ahmad Imam Al Hafitd, a defendant in the Ade Sara murder case that is currently being tried at the Central Jakarta District Court. The prosecutors deemed Hafitd to have masterminded the murder right from the start.
'We request a life sentence for the defendant,' prosecutor Toton Rasyid told the court, as quoted by kompas.com.
He acknowledged that the prosecutors couldn't find enough reasons to release Hafitd from the first degree murder charges. Hafitd, he went on, had actually had enough time to reconsider committing the murder but then he decided to go on with it.
Prosecutor Toton said he also considered Hafitd to be a man who couldn't give straight answers during the court hearing.
Hafitd and girlfriend Assyifa Ramadhani were accused of committing the murder of Ade Sara, whose body was found beside the Bintara highway. Ade Sara was the only daughter of Suroto and Elizabeth. (dic)(++++)
