AKARTA: Herjunot 'Junot' Ali says he wants to focus on big-screen roles rather than soap operas so he can grow as an actor.
Junot said that local soap operas (sinetron) offered simple characters and few challenges.
'I want to build up trust from the audience by showing quality performances. I get 'quantity viewing' through soap operas, but people will get tired with me doing the same character over and over again,' the star of 5 cm and Tenggelamnya Kapal Van der Wijck said in Jakarta as quoted by tribunnews.com.
The 29-year-old will headline the greatly anticpated big-screen adaptation of Dewi 'Dee' Lestari's Supernova #1: Kesatria, Putri & Bintang Jatuh.
