The government launched on Thursday a website citizens can use to file reports related to the disbursement of social aid funds.

The website, kawalbansos.com, aims to improve the quality of the disbursement, according to Social Affairs Minister Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

'€œWe are aware that there have been some errors in the disbursement,'€ she told reporters in Bekasi, West Java, last week.

The errors included poor people who were supposed to receive the aid being unable to access the funds.

'€œSo the easiest way [to detect the errors] is through public participation with kawalbansos.com,'€ Khofifah said. '€œIf the public doesn'€™t help us collect the data, then I'€™m afraid the social aid funds will not reach their targets.'€

People can also report problems related to President Jokowi'€™s signature Productive Family welfare program, whose recent released was timed to help cushion the blow of the expected price hike in fuel prices.

The program includes the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP), the Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) and the Prosperous Family Card (KKS).

The government plans to distribute the cards to 15.5 million low-income families.
