I

refer to an article titled '€œFree speech is not absolute,'€ (The Jakarta Post Online/The Star/ANN).

The gunmen broke French law by shooting and killing those people at Charlie Hebdo, so the murdering gunmen deserved to be arrested by the police, and the courts needed to put them in prison for the rest of their lives, or give them the death penalty.

But the murdering gunmen resisted arrest by the police, who were left with no choice but to shoot and kill them, and the gunmen wanted to be killed so they would be seen as martyrs.

As the gunmen killed people at Charlie Hebdo the victims are regarded in France as martyrs and consequently nobody in France will do anything about Charlie Hebdo, and probably for many years more magazines will be published with yet more of those cartoon drawings.

Those who feel that Charlie Hedbo broke the law should put in an official complaint and the more that do lodge an official complaint the better.
