ri Lanka has vowed to streamline investment permit systems in the country in its efforts to lure more investment from Asian and African countries, an official said on Tuesday.

Executive director of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Dumida Ariyasinghe, said his government was working on a one-stop permit policy, post-investment services and a tax holiday incentive for investors.

'€œInvestors from any country can enjoy the facilities that can boost business [in Sri Lanka],'€ Ariyasinghe said as quoted by Antara news agency during the Asian-African Business Summit in Jakarta.

According to him, of ASEAN member countries, Malaysia was the biggest investor in Sri Lanka with a total of US$1.2 billion in investment, followed by Singapore with $600 million and Indonesia with $25 million. (++++)
