espite being likely to face a tough battle against world number three Lin Dan of China at the Hong Kong Open Super Series 2015 on Wednesday, Indonesian junior shuttler Ihsan Maulana Mustofa says that he feels nothing but excitement.
'I'm really excited to meet Lin Dan. It is a rare opportunity to be able to fight such a great player like Lin. I'd also like to test myself, see how far can I go against him,' world number 41 Ihsan told badmintonindonesia.org on Tuesday.
The young gun said that Lin and Indonesian Olympian Taufik Hidayat were among his role models in the sport.
'Lin has great smashes and strokes. Other than that, he's very patient, too,' added Ihsan.
Besides Ihsan, Indonesia will also see world number 12 Tommy Sugiarto face another badminton legend, world number nine Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia. Tommy has lost in his 12 previous meetings against Lee.
The Hong Kong Open Super Series will take place at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Kowloon from Wednesday to Sunday.
