ackass director Jeff Tremaine has been granted a restraining order against Bam Margera. A judge granted a three-year restraining order, which means Margera must stay at least 100 yards away from Tremaine and his family.

Tremaine filed for a restraining order after receiving death threats from Margera.

As People reported, Tremaine provided screenshots of threatening texts allegedly sent by Margera. In one of these, Margera supposedly threatened Tremaine's children and asked him to sign a check.

Tremaine claims Margera has publicly attacked him, threatened violence, compared him to Harvey Weinstein and made an inappropriate comment.

“I am in great fear for my and my family’s personal safety,” Tremaine stated in his petition to the court.

Tremaine claims he has been harassed by Margera since February. It started after Tremaine said Margera did not come to a virtual meeting discussing Margera's mental health and sobriety struggles.

Margera refused to follow the conditions set forth by production, including routine drug testing and participating in ongoing counseling. He was fired from Jackass 4 afterward.

Margera's struggles with substance abuse and mental health have seemingly escalated in recent years.

In May, he posted a video on Instagram stating that Jackass members had mistreated him, amid struggling with bipolar disorder. He also said Tremaine and Jackass star Johnny Knoxville had “betrayed, abandoned and rejected" him.

The AV Club reported that co-star Stephen “Steve-O” Glover, who also struggled with substance abuse, responded to Margera's statement, saying Tremaine and Knoxville had helped him to save his life.

"Everyone bent over backwards to get you in the movie, and all you had to do was not get loaded. You've continued to get loaded, it's that simple," Glover said.
