NENO WARISMAN: (JP)SERANG, Banten: Singer-turned-activist Neno Warisman told a seminar on Wednesday that mothers should sing songs when playing with their children to create closeness.
"Children need physical and emotional closeness to their mothers, which could be created by singing songs," Neno was quoted as saying by Antara.
The mother-of-three, who was a popular singer in the 1980s, said singing songs also improves a child's brain development.
Neno, who also featured in some films, including award winning Sayekti dan Hanafi, spoke in front of 370 kindergarten teachers in the seminar titled "Child Psychological Development 2008".-- JP
