JAKARTA: Senior musician Dian Pramana Putra has created songs for a new album titled Cinta Naima (Naima's Love) by Acehnese jazz singer Cut Naima.

"The first time I met Cut Naima, I was immediately attracted to the character of her voice," Dian said during the launch of the album at the Hard Rock Cafe in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The album includes 10 tracks, including the hit Keraguan (Restlessness), which was written by Dian and his fellow musician friend Dedy Dhukun.

The pop-jazz album, which was produced by new label AJU Records, also includes the song Untukmu (For You) which Dian wrote and sang as a duet with Naima.

"I previously sang top-40 songs in cafes in Medan. But Dian said my voice was suited to pop songs with a jazz touch," Naima was quoted as saying by Antara news agency on Tuesday.--JP
