Air France and Air Mauritius recently signed a new agreement to strengthen their partnership.
The five-year deal replaced the one signed in 1998, expanding the routes of their partnership to other destinations besides Paris-Mauritius.
With the cooperation, Air Mauritius will be able to add its code to Air France flights connecting in Paris-CDG to Europe, Israel and North Africa, while Air France will be able to add its code to Air Mauritius flights to Indian Ocean destinations.
"Air France and Air Mauritius will now be able to offer customers an extended network between the Indian Ocean and Europe," said Jean-Cyril Spinetta, the CEO of Air France.
For Air Mauritius, in addition to the 24 destinations offered, it can now offer daily code-shared flights via the Paris-CDG hub between Mauritius and over 35 new destinations in France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Russia, Austria and Italy.
Other destinations will later be added to Air Mauritius' offering. -- JP
