JAKARTA: Celebrities face a real fear of having their private photos leaked or manipulated and posted on the Internet, but actress Catherine Wilson says she knows how to deal with the paparazzi or people who want to exploit her image.
The 28-year-old beauty said the only place she bares any skin is at home, to keep herself safe from the lenses of the paparazzi.
"If I want to swim in a bikini, then I better swim at home," Catherine told detik.com on Monday.
And when it comes to wearing a bikini outside the house, such as when on holiday, she'll only do so when she is in a secluded place or even abroad.
Although she is aware of how tough it can be for famous people to deal with ruthless paparazzi every single day, Catherine said that is just a risk that all celebrities face.
"If they didn't use provocative photos of actress and actors or fake photos . people wouldn't go looking for them," she said.
As she prepared herself to face any possible gossip when she first launched her career as a model seven years ago, Catherine said she doesn't even worry about where to store her own personal photos.
"I haven't thought of a way to keep my files secret," said Catherine, "partly because my photos are widely used in the newspapers."
A number of celebrities have recently become the target of Internet postings, including a sex video that hit the Internet last week with suggestions that the woman in the video is Wulan Guritno and the man is motor racing driver Ananda Mikola. - JP
