AKARTA: Indonesian women's weight lifter Sinta Darmariani will have to lose weight to be eligible for the 69-kg division of the weight lifting competition at the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.
Sinta contributed to the five-gold-medal haul the team won two years ago in Thailand but hers came from the 75-kg division.
She looks to have trained well for Laos trip early this month. She improved her SEA Games record from 234 kilograms to 235 kilograms during the recent World Weightlifting Championship in Goyang, South Korea.
However, the Laos SEA Games do not feature a 75-kg division, and she will have to be some kilograms lighter than her current 71.13 kilograms.
