EMARANG: The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said Tuesday it believed the population of Central Java would reach 35 million this year, 5 million more than in 2009.
"We'll carry out a census from May 1 to 31 this year," said BPS social statistics division head Diah Utami.
The agency is recruiting 64,148 officers for the census, she added.
