ANDUNG: The West Java administration said it would finance development of Cimaja in Sukabumi Regency as a surfing and tourism destination.
"Funds will be disbursed soon and we hope we can start constructing infrastructure as the first phase of development," said Tourism and Culture Office head Herdiawan on Friday.
He said he was optimistic about building the site, which has waves up to 4 meters tall, similar to other popular surfing destinations such as Bali.
"I went there myself to watch an international surfing competition. The professional surfers lauded the waves at Cimaja," he said. - JP
