JAKARTA: Singer Agnes Monica released her compilation of hits in the album Agnes is My Name and announced that her dream for an international career was coming true.
The album is a compilation of songs from her soundtrack during her soap opera days in Pernikahan Dini (Early Marriage) (2000) that marked her transformation from child-star to popstar.
“I’m grateful for Aquarius that has trusted me to be here since Pernikahan Dini, and to several people who have worked with me,” Agnes said Wednesday night referring to her record label, as quoted by kapanlagi.com.
On the eve of Chinese New Year, Agnes also announced that she had signed a contract with Sony/ATV Music Publishing to work on her international album Paralyzed. She will work with Beto Cohen, a songwriter who had worked with Maddona. Sony/ATV has rolled out albums of musicians such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond and Diane Warren. — JP
