AKARTA: Singer Afgan Syah Reza has just been reported to the police for allegedly breaching a contract.

On Tuesday, record label Wanna B Production filed a report with the South Jakarta Police stating the singer had failed to fulfill his obligations under a contract he signed in 2007.

“It [the contract] was made earlier in his singing career, long before he became famous,” the legal representative for Wanna B Production, Hulman Panjaitan, said as quoted by cumicumi.com on Tuesday.

Based on the agreement, Hulman claimed the record label had exclusive rights on Afgan, while the 22-year old had accepted offers from another recording company.

The singer, who rose to fame with his single Sadis (Cruel), refused to comment. — JP
