our comments on a statement made by Attorney General Basrief Arief, who said all legal measures to bring the murderers of human rights champion Munir Said Thalib to justice have been exhausted:

Munir was killed in international air space. This should be an international criminal case. Or perhaps we should all boycott Garuda until the case is resolved.

Indonesia’s legal system is deeply flawed by corruption and political wheeling and dealing.

Let an international court take over and provide an example of true justice.

Considering the lack of political will here, the investigation into Munir’s death has been a total farce, just as was the investigation of Antasari Azhar on murder charges.

The probe should be reopened and carried out by independent international investigators without political affiliations and in the absence of political pressure.

The Indonesian police and the courts are corrupt and have no interest in seeing justice done.

It’s time for a completely new investigation and new trial under international UN supervision. Only then can Indonesia claim to observe human rights.

Poison was placed in Munir’s drink. Pollycarpus didn’t know the victim personally.

Who planned this ‘premeditated’ murder? This is a big blemish on our history of justice!

Yudhoyono will not interfere in the Munir case or any case for that matter.

He is the worst President that Indonesia has ever had — totally useless, even worse than Megawati.

SBY, will this be your position on everything from now on?

To me your words are more like this: “I have no control over the courts, the police, the Army. So others rule the country and I just sign what they need”.

I think the efforts were premature.
