University of Indonesia’s Student Executive Body with the Faculty of Economics (BEM FE UI) threatened to strike and refused to go to lectures in protest to an unending controversy shrouding the university following an honoris causa doctorate degree awarded to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia by the university management under embattled rector Gumilar Rusliwa Somantri.
Your comments:
Hi, students. Don’t urge your lecturers to follow your way.
Lecturers are supposed to already be mature. Some of them are professors, aren’t they?

Lecture strike? As in not coming to lectures? You paid the tuition fees. Do something more creative, seriously.

Please go on lecture-strike, but do not take the dispute or controversy into the International Student Association.
It is a shame due to a lack of wisdom from the rector and related staff.

Seriously, guys, be smart. You paid the tuition fees, but I’m sure not all of you paid it with your own money.
Striking is OK, but not attending lectures?
