Indonesian soccer teams and fans have to learn sportsmanship.

The Euro 2012 soccer championship, which will last for a whole month, is a big event. Obviously, millions of Indonesians will watch the games every night.

Sorry to say that this event will only result in the loss of productivity of our workforce, because people will be too tired and sleepy when they get to work.

To improve our soccer, we have to look to the past when Mo Heng, Lionghou, Kiatsek and other ethnic Chinese players strengthened our national team.

That was the time when the Indonesian squad gained international fame. Instead of just naturalizing foreigners to join, we should encourage and groom our own Indonesians to improve our national soccer teams.

Of course, Indonesian teams can learn many things from teamwork including strategy. But the important thing is how to control emotion.

Many Indonesian players seem to find it hard to control their emotions. It often results in Indonesian players getting yellow and red cards in all competitions.
