inger Cinta Laura Kiehl said that she would likely choose German citizenship over Indonesian when she turns 21 and would have to decide between the two options.

“I choose German so that I can travel and take care of my visa more easily. But I still love Indonesia because my mother is Indonesian and I have just made an Indonesian ID card,” she said Monday, as quoted by Tempo.co.

Three years from now, Cinta will likely have to follow the legal requirement of choosing between the nationalities of their parents as they are only allowed dual citizenship until they are 21 years old.

Her mother, Herdiana, said that she hopes that Cinta can retain dual citizenship.
