The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) has revealed that Trans TV, a television channel owned by tycoon Chairul Tandjung, topped the list of broadcasters breaching broadcasting norms and regulations.
“Trans TV was frequently reprimanded by the KPI between January and October this year,” KPI deputy chairwoman Nina Mutmainnah Armando said on Thursday.
Your comments:
From its indifferent and less-than-satisfactory reaction to the public outcry and reprimands regarding its offensive TV-shows, it can be concluded that the Trans TV management is only interested in harvesting loads of money from these tasteless and insipid shows that it airs.
They have proved themselves so uneducated and vulgar that they don’t even know how to offer a proper public apology.
In this, Trans TV spokesman A. Hadiansyah Lubis and Democratic Party lawmaker Sutan Bhatoegana are obviously in the same league, and, if it’s not too late already, should be further educated regarding what good manners and ethics are all about.
To protect the minds and morals of the Indonesian public, Trans TV should not receive a mere slap on the wrist.
This filth-spreading TV station should be closed immediately.
