he General Elections Commission (KPU) has said that 70 percent of ballots for the legislative election, which will take place on April 9, have been distributed to regencies and cities across the country as of Monday.
KPU officer Susila Herry Prabowo explained that 80 percent of total ballot orders had been fulfilled, while the printing of ballots for 11 regions were still in progress.
'We hope to sort everything out today,' Herry was quoted as saying by tempo.co on Monday.
Herry said there had been printing delays as obstacles had been encountered.
However, he said, contracts with printing houses were valid until March 15, adding that, 'We expect printing to be finished by March , at the latest.' (put)
