ictitious online motorcycle taxi (ojek) orders ‘terrorized’ two media companies in Batam and Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands, on Sunday, in what is believed to be a planned action aimed at disrupting editorial operations of both media companies.
Hundreds of drivers from online transportation applications Grab and Gojek started to come to the companies at 8 a.m., bringing various orders from food to documents.
The companies being flooded with fictitious orders were Batamnews in Batam Center, Batam, and Ulasan.co in Tanjungpinang, kompas.com reported.
One of the drivers, Imam, said he found it difficult to contact the number who ordered a Go-Send service to pick-up documents from Batamnews.

“Now the number ordering the service is uncontactable. My order is to pick-up a document here,” he said.
“But when I arrived here, the office said they did not order anything.”
