The ceremony at Central Park Mall was conducted by Liverpool FC's director of international business development, Jonathan Kane, and Garuda director Emirsyah Satar. The club's former stars Phil Thomson, Dietmar Hamann and Luis Garcia were also present.
'After being official global airline sponsor in 2012, Garuda Indonesia has now expanded the cooperation by becoming official global airline partner for Liverpool FC for the Premier League's 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons,' Emirsyah said in a press release.
Under the increased cooperation, the appearance of the Garuda logo on the Light Emitting Diode (LED) screen at Anfield stadium will increase from six to eight minutes during matches for the next two seasons.
